It makes sense that when you are cooking on a budget you want to shop for ingredients that are…well, cheap! One of the least expensive vegetables you can buy at the store is cabbage. I’ve never been a huge fan myself. For some reason I’ve never found a coleslaw that I liked or really fell in love with cabbage rolls. As a result I hardly ever buy cabbage because what good is cooking on a budget if you don’t like the food you are making? Well, I decided to have one last go at my dreaded foe, the cabbage. Either I have taken cooking on a budget to a whole new delusional level or this recipe really rocks!
So have no fear if you fear cooking with cabbage! One, you are gonna love this recipe for thai beef cabbage wraps and two, you don’t actually cook the cabbage. If after trying this recipe you still aren’t a cabbage fan (rah, rah, rah, GO CABBAGE!) you can trade to the other, less sturdy, culinary team of iceberg lettuce.
