Cinnamon and Sugar Sopes

These sopes are blissful little fried puffs of dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar.  They are soft, sweet, and amazingly easy to make!

Sopes are traditionally a savory dish but rules are meant to be broken and I love being the one to do it!  It wasn’t hard for me to dream up this little delights.  Who doesn’t love sweet fried dough…doughnut, anyone!?  So, after a particularly rainy afternoon I thought I would make an extra special snack for my little man for him to enjoy after school.  These can be made in just minutes using uncooked refrigerated biscuits and frying them…I did say this is an extra special snack, right!?

  1. Dang it! I just got back from the store and biscuits weren’t on my list! I will have to pick some up next time I go so I can make these! Perfectly simple! Thanks!!!!

  2. Love anything with cinnamon and sugar! Yum!

  3. These look delicious!!

  5. I have made a version of this for years…. except I cut the biscuits into four pieces and then fry and dip in cinnomon and sugar and then it’s like eating doughnut holes. I use a regular a can of regular 10 count biscuits.
