Helping Libby’s Get Families Back to the Table

I know that I am very blessed.

I have four handsome boys, a loving husband who provides for us in every way possible, and everything I could ever want.  We gather around our table every night to enjoy dinner and one another’s company.  It isn’t always “perfect” but the important thing is we are together.

Libby’s believes that family dinners are as important as I do and launched Get Back to the Table.  There they share recipes and tips that help you get your family back to the table.  Libby’s understands that many families struggle to provide the basic necessities they need to survive.  That is why they have partnered with local Habitat for Humanity chapters to make getting back to the table easier for these families.

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a Habitat for Humanity site and it is something I will never forget.  Knowing that I was able to donate my time and effort to help a family have a home was priceless.  On October 28, 2011 the local Salt Lake City chapter will be participating in a build from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

By the end of this year Habitat for Humanity Salt Lake City will have completed 3 new/refurbished homes for less fortunate families.  Libby’s has graciously offered to supply each family with a pantry stocked with Libby’s products, a dining table for 6, and place settings for at least 6 family members.

As someone who has been blessed I feel it is my duty {and honor} to give back.  This week Libby’s is encouraging Utahan’s to visit any of the 16 Fresh Market locations to donate non-perishable items.  Your donations with allow Habitat for Humanity families make meal time a reality.  Please help them collect as much as they can before the drive ends on October 22, 2011.

If you are on Twitter or Facebook you can help BGM spread the word!

Share: In Utah? Want to donate to a great cause? Fresh Markets from Logan to Price are accepting non-perishable food donations until October 22 (this Saturday!) for Habitat for Humanity. Please stop by and donate if you have a minute!

Having a blog has been a real blessing and I am so grateful for all my readers.  It is an honor for me to help spread the word and bless the lives of another family.  I hope you will join me in my effort.

Disclosure: I am being compensated by Libby’s for my participation in this campaign.  It doesn’t make it any less important to me or to the families you will be helping.

  1. It is so great to stop and count our blessings. We help with habitat for humanity every once in awhile and it has always been a wonderful experience.
