Lemon Sour Cream Drop Cookies

These cookies are like little drops of sunshine on a gloomy day.

They were just the pick me up I needed this weekend.  It rained non-stop on Saturday.  In the middle of January.  In Utah.

I could just hear the snow bunnies weeping.

Fortunately this Southern California girl enjoys the rain.  The sound, the smell, the look.

The sound of rain makes me want to put on my comfortable sweats that are way too big for me, snuggle up in a huge blanket, and plop down in my favorite recliner to watch the ridiculous amount of A&E shows on DVR.

It also gives me an uncontrollable urge to bake.  Sometimes the lazy side of me wins but not this time.

This time I fought the urge to become a permanent blob in my living room recliner and baked up these little bites of happiness.  A girl just needs some citrus every now and then.

  1. I love rain as well! It’s like the perfect built in excuse to do nothing!! My favorite is to curl up and watch romantic movies and eat something chocolaty!

  2. I’m a lemon freak, and these are calling my name!!

  3. I’m a lemon lover! I love how easy these are 🙂

    • I do love a good chocolate chip cookie but I am on a total lemon kick right now! I need to make another batch of these for my cookie jar already.

  4. I love lemon. Thanks for sharing this recipe – I am going to try it!

  5. Lemons and sour cream bake up so perfectly together! Also greek yogurt is good too.

  6. I have some Meyer lemons I’m dying to use; I just found the perfect ’cause.’ They sound perfect.

  7. Ohh I love rain. My favorite -is cup of tea and cookies. Your cookies look very delish, beautiful pictures. 🙂
