After yesterday’s post it’s no secret that I’m a little stressed right now.
Things should settle down in a few weeks. I say that all the time but it never happens.
Much like the sound of rain on a gloomy day, stress triggers that “I really need to bake something” button in my brain. I needed to make something that was nothing short of pure indulgence.
Enter Peanut Butter Mallow Bars.
I’ve had this recipe sitting on my desk for quite some time and against my better judgement I decided that it was the perfect time to make them. It’s my great aunt’s recipe and it was well used by the looks of the recipe card.
During the process I had a little slip up but that didn’t stop me. I didn’t even pause to wipe it off. I wanted those bars.
After what seemed like the longest twenty minutes ever they were done.
No. I didn’t wait for them to cool.
Are you kidding!?
