Sweet Cherry Crumble

As you read this I am probably sitting in a car full of children, one husband, 5 suitcases, and a stroller making the long trek back to Utah from California.

By now I’ve probably heard “Are we there yet?”, “When are we gonna be there?”, and “He’s touching me” more times than I can count but the thought of these cherry crumbles will not be far from my mind.

They are never too far from my mind around this time of year.

It was this time of year when my mom would make a big 13 x 9 pan of this dessert for a party or gathering or school.  My sister and I would find the leftovers in the fridge and gradually pick at it until it was gone.

We were such sneaks.

Especially her.

She would sneak the topping.  Just the topping.

Look at me.  Over 30 and still tattling.  Whatever.  It’s totally true and she got away with everything.

Fortunately I made my very own cherry crumble to pick at and since I’m the adult in charge {who made that call!?} there wasn’t anyone around to tell me that this was not suitable for breakfast.

  1. sounds delicious!

  2. Sounds delicious as always!!
I love the individual portions instead of the one big one. Great idea!
    Have a safe trip home.
