Hot Dr. Pepper “Tea”

It’s good to have friends.

Well duh.

Of course it’s good to have friends.

Shocking, I know.  I’m sure you are all in awe of my profound wisdom at the moment.  Just give me a minute or two.

Friends lift you up when you are down.  Friends makes you cookies just cuz.  Friends tell you when you are acting completely nuts and then act completely nuts with you just so you don’t look silly.

I am blessed to have these types of friends.

Some friends {at least foodie friends} introduce you to new flavors and ideas.  It was friends that first introduced me to this drink.  A loooooonnnnng time ago.  When I was a wee girl of 15.  Aye.  A bonnie lass, was I.

Every February my family and I would pack up our car to head to Mammoth Lakes to have a full weekend of skiing.  Good time.  It was during one of these trips that our friends first made this.  At first even this adventurous eater was a bit skeptic but you know how peer pressure is.

It’s terrible.

“Everyone’s drinking it.  Go ahead.  You’ll like it.”

On and on they went until I couldn’t take it anymore.  All right already!  I’ll try it.

I tried it.

I liked it.

So go ahead.  Try it.  You’ll like it.  Everyone’s drinking it.
