Top 10 Posts of 2012 and Looking Forward

With the promise of each new year I feel a sense of excitement.  It’s usually a time to pause, reflect, and review the past.

I’ve had time to think about the past year while organizing and putting away Christmas decorations, mostly due to the fact that the kids are so enthralled with their new Christmas swag and playing in the snow that it’s been a kinda quiet few days around here.  Love it when that happens.

I’ve realized too that the boys are getting older and fast.  Little Squirt just started sleeping in a big boy bed.  We are, gasp, packing away baby clothes along with his crib and donating baby toys.  Apparently it hasn’t sunk in yet because I’m not ugly crying into my huge pillow.

This past year truly has been amazing, growing older and all.  I’ve attended numerous events including Camp Blogaway, Foodbuzz Fest, and Mixed, all of which were instrumental in furthering my self discovery {if you want to wax philosophical}.  In all seriousness though, I have learned a lot about myself this year.  I’ve discovered new found talents, tried a few talents I’ll leave others to do, and become more firm in my resolve to help others cook gourmet food on a budget.

I can only imagine what the new year will bring.  I’ve asked some of you what you would like to see and I got a huge response for step by step photos.  Don’t worry!  I’ve heard your cries and I will deliver.  It may not be EVERY post but I will slowly transition to step by step.

I’m also working on some videos, incorporating some amazing products this year including Gourmet Garden, Dreamfields Pasta, and Safest Choice Eggs, in addition to continuing to bring you fast and easy recipes from my kitchen to yours.

If the coming year is even a smidgen of what it was last year than I’m in for a real treat.  And speaking of treat
