I’ve had lots of things on my mind lately.  I think that’s why I’ve been so absent.  Just couldn’t grasp the words, as shocking as that may seem.

There are so many things that are floating around in my head right now that if I just came out and started to tell you about them you would (a) smile, nod, and walk away slowly (b) start to twitch within minutes and excuse yourself to make an emergency fake phone call or (c) your head just may explode with all the awesomeness spewing from my mouth.

I’ve got to be honest, option a is way more likely to happen than option c.

The basic gist of things: poor little sick kiddos (who like to share. with mommy), holiday cheer overload, uber organization going on (as in brand new closet system – WOOT! and the realization that we have way too much stuff), recent obsession with my new iPad, and, last but certainly not least, my Papa just went in for surgery to remove some cancerous polyps on his lung.

Really. I mean really!?

Oh. And I am entirely all too excited about this year for BGM.  I am like falling off my chair excited.  I just hope I don’t mess things up and have everything flop.  WHAT!?  Not even possible.

So there you have it folks.  Are you still there?  Twitching?  Have a case of falling-off-your-chair-itis?

I certainly hope not because that would make it much more difficult to make this Very Berry Smoothie.  During times like these…the times when you just need something sinfully delicious and allows you to break in that new Blendtec Blender you just got {be very jealous}…I like to embrace the art of simplicity.

I grab a handful, in this case a palmful, of ingredients.  Throw it in the blender and hit puree.  Hello distraction.  Plus, all the vitamins and berries will be good to perk up our immune systems.  And did I mention the kids think this is dessert?  Awesome.

    • Spinach…ugh. Maybe a spinach and apple smoothie. I could do that. Thanks for your support Crystal. It’s actually my grandpa…I should have been more specific. Fortunately my dad is doing okay although I think he would rather be fishing. And my papa is doing okay too! The surgery went well and now we wait. Sigh. Time for more smoothies. xo
