You are probably not going to believe this but some of my best ideas come when I’m showering. TMI? I think I’m just relaxed, usually there aren’t kids bothering me, and I have time to actually think. Of course, once I get out I’m usually feverishly writing on any scrap of paper I can find so I don’t forget anything.
Other times inspiration can come just from exploring the aisles at the grocery store. It’s not often I do that considering the fact that I usually have at least two kids with me at the store but sometimes I get lucky.
Like the other day, for example. As soon as I walked in I saw they had a package of bagel thins for $0.99. Sold. Upon further exploring they had pears on sale. Triple sold. Blue Cheese crumbles go great with pears. Perhaps a new fruit pizza recipe? Why not.
This fabulous little combo comes in at just over 400 calories landing it in my 400 calorie fix category and I’m excited to introduce “Five Ingredient Fix”. Recipes with five ingredients. Granted, this recipe had six but do herbs and spices really count!? I haven’t decided yet but I can tell you salt and pepper definitely does not count as an ingredient when cooking. It’s an essential. Much like lunch.
