Spicy Sliders for Game Day

Superbowl. That one little word can incite a variety of feelings. Excitement, anticipation, disappointment, and hunger!?

Yes, hunger. You certainly can’t imagine a Superbowl party without the throng of snacks, sandwiches, and wings! If you’re planning on having a big soirée this Superbowl Sunday I have a delicious new addition to spice things up a bit. My spicy sliders made with a mixture of hot Italian sausage and ground sirloin are juicy and have just the right amount of heat. The patties can be formed and/or cooked ahead of time so you have more time to enjoy your guests and the game!

I found that Rhodes Warm and Serve Rolls were a perfect little vessel to hold these patties. Top each slider with some arugula or a spring lettuce mixture. Serve with a spicy marinara for dipping.

  1. Yum! These look like perfect treats for game day! Sliders make eating a burger so fun and easy. I think my family will love them.

  2. This sounds great!

    • Yummy…! What a delicious meal after a match. I also think it is a good idea to use the serve rolls to keep the meat and have a final round piece…

  3. Just made a great variation of this tonight for dinner. Thanks for the great idea. Love your pictures on your blog. Since I was serving it for my hubby and my 3rd old. I just switched it to regular ground sausage instead of hot Italian. Seasoned mine up just a tad differently too salt, pepper, smoked paprika, dried parsley. The cheese in the middle was awesome. Next time when there are more adults and not just kids I will definitely try the “heated” version. I love spicy things. Kudos.

  4. Featured these yummy sliders on my blog today. Adapted the recipe a bit – made them smoky instead of spicy. I would love it if you checked it out 🙂 Hopefully will send some more traffic your way.
