Pumpkin Cinnamon Bread French Toast

When we sold our house back in March and suddenly got the thing we’d been praying for it wasn’t all that easy.  You’ve heard the saying, be careful what you wish for?  And if you haven’t heard it before you have now.  We had wonderful neighbors, school, and lived in a friendly city.  Oh, and there was a Kneader’s.

I am currently in an ongoing love affair with Kneader’s.  I’ve never had anything there I didn’t like.  They may make better chocolate chip cookies than I do and they make a chocolate mousse dome that is basically other worldly.  What they are most known for though is their french toast.  They make {and sell} fresh bread including a cinnamon swirl bread that they use to make their french toast.

Since I have a serious issue with having to get up on Saturdays and actually get dressed in something other than my flannel pants and over sized mens t-shirt I decided to buy me one of these loaves the other day along with a fresh pumpkin spice loaf.  The pumpkin spice loaf was at the suggestion of the cashier…cuz he must have read my mind or something.  My plan was to make overnight french toast with the cinnamon bread then thought adding the pumpkin loaf would make it that much better.

I was right.  This Pumpkin Bread Cinnamon Bread French Toast was a perfect blend of fall flavors.  Better yet, it is ridiculously easy to make and even easier to eat.

  1. I love this! It combines two of my favorite things – French toast and bread pudding. Mmm.

I just happened upon your site browsing the comments at Damn Delicious, and I love it! I actually called a section of my site “budget gourmet” and was always wondering if it made sense to anyone ELSE besides me 🙂 I’m writing an eBook by the same title to teach people how to budget, slash their grocery budget, and actually eat BETTER, which is what you’re all about too! Love it. We need to get connected!

  2. You are evil woman!! E.V.I.L. (Extremely Very Incredibly Lovely) Okay, whatever that means. This looks so good that I could smack you, because I’m reading this post at 1am and Kneaders is closed. This means I can’t go get the ingredients and make it now. Shame on you.
