The out surge of the Coronavirus has wreaked health havoc across the globe. Millions of people have fallen prey to the COVID-19; many recovered and many died. The virus is so contagious that it is spreading through the air, coughs, and sneezes. Since no vaccine could be declared effective against it yet, doctors and healthcare providers are continuously urging people to practice SOPs like social distancing, wearing face masks, and hand sanitizing.
Face coverings offer the most effective first-hand protection against the virus. They prevent the virus from entering your nose and mouth so that it doesn’t reach your respiratory system. This is why all the healthcare experts and government authorities have made it compulsory for people to wear a mask, especially in public gatherings.
Ever since the pandemic has been reported, masks have become the most sold product of the consumer market. Many companies have come forward with their own branded masks but not all of them provide equal protection. Therefore, it is necessary that you buy the best-quality masks for the highest protection. As a sincere recommendation, we always suggest our readers buy American made N95 masks from ALG health. They are made with the highest standards of manufacturing to offer premium virus protection.
Why N95 masks?
People often come up with questions about why only N95 masks and why not others. Well, N95 masks come with multi-layers and provide a tight seal around your face. They guarantee 95% filtration against the germs in the air and clear the air before it reaches your respiratory tract through the nose or mouth. This advanced-level protection doesn’t come with ordinary masks. The level of protection and safety offered by the N95 masks is the reason they are considerably trusted, used, and recommended among the medical community.
How to buy the best N95 masks?
With high demand across the market, many vendors have come forward selling N95 masks. However, not all of them are good enough for use. There are certain considerations that must be pondered upon during the purchase.
- Consult a doctor
N95 masks are not recommended for people with certain medical conditions like cardiovascular disorders and respiratory discomfort. Therefore, before buying an N95 mask, consult a doctor or physician to confirm that if you can use N95 or not. As the mask offers a seal across the face, a person with already compromised breathing may find it difficult to breathe in the mask.
- Look for the valves and any cracks
The first two things to consider while purchasing an N95 mask is;
- Exhalation valves
- Cracks
Exhalation valves are good for cutting the moisture. Thus, the mask you purchase must have the exhalation valve for sure. Otherwise, the moisture content can build up and destroy the mask. Secondly, look for if the mask has any cracks or leaks. If there are any, the mask won’t be effective against pathogens.
- 5-metrics test is a must
The 5-metrics test helps to determine the quality of the mask being purchased. The five metrics to be considered are;
- Fluid resistance
- Breathability
- Bacterial filtration (BFE)
- Particulate filtration (PFE)
- Flammability
If your N95 mask gets through these 5 metrics successfully, you can buy it for sure.
- Pricing
Pricing and budget is an important consideration when choosing an N95 mask. The price of the mask varies with the vendors. The average price of the mask is 200-600 rupees. As a genuine recommendation, we suggest you buy N95 masks from ALG health. They are offering N95 masks made in the USA, offering a wide range of products. Their masks are of super quality and that too at super affordable prices.
